Lynette Gillis

Practicum Supervisor

Lynette Gillis is a psychotherapist based in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia. She attended the Toronto Institute for Relational Psychotherapy, a rigorous, experiential, accredited program. She started her private practice in Toronto in the fall of 2018. Her practice is attachment-based, relational, and psychodynamic. She incorporates somatic and body-based approaches, mindfulness, and parts work. Lynette has completed training in EMDR (Basic Training), an Integrative Somatic Trauma program from the Embody Lab, and Janina Fisher’s Complex Trauma certification program. She has special interest in working with relational/developmental trauma, relationships and attachment, gender and identity, living more authentically, loss and grief, and creativity. She has been a musician - primarily a drummer - for most of her life and works with many clients with creative backgrounds. Lynette is a Registered Counselling Therapist with the Nova Scotia College of Counselling Therapists (NSCCT) and a Registered Psychotherapist with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO).
