Join Our Growing Team
Each year, more and more individuals express the need for affordable counselling therapy in Nova Scotia. The number of clients we serve continues to grow, and with that, the amount of assistance needed to support the program continues to grow as well.
Join us in our efforts to help serve more Nova Scotians.
Join our Board of Directors
We’re currently seeking board members who share our commitment to mental health, dignity, and community well-being. We are building a diverse, inclusive, and equitable organization where everyone feels they belong.
Couch of Hope is a community-based, non-profit organization dedicated to making mental health counselling more accessible. We offer free counselling services to individuals facing barriers such as lack of insurance, financial limitations, or long waitlists. Clients can connect with us directly, or through referrals from community partners.
Our vision is simple: compassionate, inclusive, and client-centered mental health care that is accessible to everyone in Nova Scotia.
We warmly welcome applications from all members of our community, and we especially encourage individuals who identify as Indigenous, African Nova Scotian, people of African descent, and people of colour or racially visible communities to apply.
If you are experiencing a mental health crisis, please call your local mental health support line, go to the nearest hospital, or call 911.
We are a mental health clinic providing counselling services, however we are unable to handle emergency situations.
